Applications and Clinical Behavior of BioHPP in Prosthetic Dentistry: A Short Review

(1) Background: BioHPP® (Bredent, UK) is a partially crystalline poly ether ketone (PEEK) that strengthened using ceramic. PEEK and its various formulations represent very interesting alternative, has been in-depth with literature in recent years; (2) Methods: A PubMed Scopus search for the term “BioHPP” yielded 73 results 42 articles which were included this short review. Considering scarce on subject, each article was considered review; (3) Results: analyzed are recent, all published last 5 years. Their clinical evaluation of highlights many positive aspects, few have highlighted critical issues multiple applications; (4) Conclusions: material not only extremely future, but possesses characteristics suitable application today, endocrowns, small adhesive bridges, temporary prostheses immediate loads implant restorations. The excellent aesthetics possibility simple reprocessing restorations made invite application.
